Two stories. One powerful choice. Flip the book. Flip your perspective.

From Steve and Sara Otey of Engage Family Ministries, Suppose You Give a Kid a Smartphone is a one-of-a-kind, flip-style book that invites families to rethink when is the right time to receive a smartphone.

On one side, Suppose You Give a Kid a Smartphone explores what can happen when a child receives a phone too soon. It’s not meant to frighten—but to reflect the real challenges today’s families face in a digital world.

Flip the book over to read Suppose You WAIT to Give a Kid a Smartphone, a hopeful vision of what is possible when parents choose courage over convenience. Inspired by Jonathan Haidt’s The Anxious Generation, this story imagines what life could look like when families delay smartphone use.

Designed as a conversation tool in the style of a children’s story, this book helps families discuss when and why to introduce smartphones, and how to prepare kids’ hearts before they ever hold one in their hands.

Rooted in biblical wisdom, Suppose You Give a Kid a Smartphone encourages parents to model healthy technology habits and to trust the Lord with tech use.

Helping families pursue Jesus.
