Retreat Information:
This Mother Daughter Retreat will help you to connect with one another and grow together in Christ. The weekend will be focused around the theme “Joy Comes in the Morning.” Everyone will face mountains in their life that seem too big to climb and challenges that seem crushing, but Scripture tells us to rejoice. How can we experience joy in the highs and lows of life. The good news is that we can experience a joy-filled life through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
At this retreat you will experience engaging activities, time to relax, delicious snacks, inspiring worship, and a speaker who beautifully intertwines impactful personal experiences and Truth.
Each mother/daughter pair will be housed in their own cabin or hotel styled room, or you can join with other friends of your choice and have a cabin of multiple mother/daughter groupings.
The schedule will consist of 4 sessions that include live worship and a message, planned (but optional) large group activities, and a Saturday afternoon filled with free time and lots of exciting activities to choose from. The retreat begins after dinner on Friday (6-7 arrival time) and ends on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
Pricing:
The fee for larger families with multiple participants will be capped at $400.
Engage Family Ministries doesn’t want the cost of the retreat to prevent anyone from attending. Multiple donations have been made to make the retreat available to everyone wanting to participate through scholarships. You may click here to learn how to get a scholarship.

Sara Otey
Director
Sara Otey, alongside her husband Steve, has been leading ministry to teens and families for over 20 years in church, retreat, and camp settings. Sara and Steve have four daughters ranging in age from 10-17, and they enjoy serving together as a family. They have a passion to help strengthen families by helping them engage with God and each other. Because of that passion and God’s leading, Sara and Steve founded Engage Family Ministries in 2018.
Sara will be hosting the retreat and developing a creative list of activities and discussion questions that will help mothers and daughters make memories together, hear and learn Biblical Truth, and connect in new ways. She prays the Holy Spirit will be at work in the lives of the participants.

Frequently Asked Questions
We understand that a lot of growth and change occurs during the adolescent years, and we want to facilitate connection during these years. When children are younger, they don’t have as many things pulling for their time and attention, and connection happens more easily.
Friday night there will be a time of worship and teaching followed by a group activity. Saturday there will be 2 session of worship and teaching with the bulk of day for free time. During free time you and your daughter will have the opportunity to participate in planned group activities, have one-on-one time, play games, make crafts, or just relax. This time is valuable and can be tailored to your preferences. Sunday, there will be a final worship and teaching time and then moms and daughters are welcome to stay as long as they want that afternoon and enjoy the retreat center’s activities and grounds.
Mother Daughter groupings will be housed together and by default will have a private bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom will have at least two beds.
